Welcome to the Women's Health Alliance, previously known as Durham Women's Clinic.  We are pleased that you have chosen us to serve your unique needs as a woman. 

 

NOW INTRODUCING: Midwifery Care @ Women's Health Alliance. Talk to one of our certified nurse-midwives about this new option or come to a free "Meet the Midwife" session every other Monday night at our satellite Brier Creek office.


Since it beginning in 1941, the Durham Women's Clinic has maintained a tradition of excellence in obstetric and gynecologic care.  We will do our best to continue to meet these standards in providing for your care.

In spite of the fact that obstetrics and gynecology is technically a specific medicine, it has in recent years become known as a 'primary care specialty' which means many women consider their obstetrician/gynecologist as their main doctor. Thus, if problems occur that are outside our particular range of care, we will work closely with internists, psychiatrists, general surgeons, and other specialists, etc. to provide appropriate treatment and consultation for you.  In such cases we actively pursue any follow-up care that is necessary.  We also place particular emphasis on preventative medicine, to help you learn better ways to take care of yourself.
