Samantha “Sammy” Bellamy McRae, CNM, MSN

Sammy McRae, CNM, MSN joined the Durham Women's Clinic’s team in 2021 after earning her master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Vanderbilt University. Sammy has been passionate about working with women for as long as she can remember. With a background working as a doula and a labor & delivery nurse, helping patients feel empowered, informed, and safe throughout their pregnancy is Sammy's main incentive as a provider.

With a heart for educating patients, Sammy specifically loves helping patients maximize their health and nutrition when trying to conceive. She especially enjoys helping patients find practical ways to thrive in the fourth trimester. You will find Sammy in both the clinical and hospital setting.

A Triangle native, Sammy now lives in Sanford with her partner Silas, their two children Archie and Holly, and their dogs Olive and Elaine. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, yoga, reality TV, and sharing her love of skincare. Her favorite places to visit are New Orleans, Lake Santeetlah, and Pawley’s Island.
